Firstly I like to say Happy Wesak. We have children from the ages of 2 years and above totaling to 48 children in the home who are unable to do their daily routine as they are mentally and physically handicapped. This year the Wesak season was indeed grand. We were given a surprise as we were invited by the National College in Wellawaya in order to celebrate the festival as they gave alms to the children of the home. This was done in order to show the school children, teachers and the parents that there are children that are children who are unwanted and by their own kith kin but are being loved by someone who cares for them in a special way.
We also like to give you information that on Wesak Poya Day a grandmother did give us a child as she is unable to look after the child. The child is a boy. His name is Kasun and is 7 years old. The child is severely handicapped as is kept in a cot . We have absorbed him in our home as this child plight is pathetic.
We like to state that this child needs lot of attention and care in a special way. We would like if I could get a sponsor for this child for his expenditure as he needs lot of nourishments as he is very weak. Please be good enough to give your kind attention in sponsoring for this child as he needs attention and a lot of care in life.
May you be blessed in all your work and in all you do for the poor and the needy.
